Tania Pepe
Ko Tania Pepi ahau.
I am a proud Māori wāhine, māmā, Housing Navigator, and kaiwhakaruruhau based in Whangārei. I am passionate about walking alongside whānau experiencing housing challenges, supporting them to access safe, stable housing and create positive futures for themselves and their tamariki.
Through my mahi, I work with whānau facing complex barriers, including homelessness, trauma, and social inequities. Using strengths-based and trauma-informed approaches, I support people to recognise their resilience, navigate challenges, and achieve their aspirations.
I am currently undertaking Tohu Indigenous to deepen my understanding of Indigenous knowledge, leadership, and ways of knowing. My goal is to bring this learning back into my mahi to better support whānau Māori throughout Te Tai Tokerau and contribute to stronger, healthier communities.
I believe that strengthening connections to identity, culture, and belonging creates lasting change for whānau and future generations. I am incredibly grateful to the Hope Fish Foundation for supporting my educational journey and enabling me to continue growing in service of my community.
