Nathania Snowden
Nathania leads a 12-week Mana Wahine Rongoā Wānanga – a kaupapa Māori healing programme designed to support wāhine Māori in reconnecting with their wairua, whakapapa, and cultural identity. Grounded in mātauranga Māori, the wānanga blends traditional and practical rongoā methods, including working with native plants, karakia, maramataka, and whakapapa.
Through pūrākau such as the Māori creation story, participants deepen their understanding of their emotional, spiritual, and ancestral connections. They learn to work with rongoā both practically and energetically – safely harvesting and preparing rākau, following tikanga, and using these tools to release mamae, grief, and intergenerational trauma.
This transformative kaupapa empowers wāhine to reclaim their mana motuhake and step into their roles as mothers, leaders, and healers within their whānau and wider communities. The ripple effect extends far beyond the individual, strengthening collective wellbeing and tino rangatiratanga.
This kaupapa is proudly supported by Hopefish, whose funding enables the continuation and growth of these culturally grounded, life-changing healing spaces.
